Life Notes Honored with Three Telly Awards for Outstanding Local and Regional Cable Programming

Life Notes with Vera Turner takes home three Telly Awards in the 27th Annual Telly Awards Competition. The Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions. The Telly Awards annually showcases the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world.
The three episodes of Life Notes recognized include Honor Thy Mother and Father, which received a Silver Telly Award; A Safe Place, and Discovering Your Life’s Work, each of which received a Bronze Telly Award.
Honor Thy Mother and Father, which garnered the top award, examines the rewards and challenges of being a caregiver. The show by provides a close-up look at family members caring for elderly parents and other loved ones, while seeking a balanced lifestyle.
A Safe Place spotlights organizations and individuals who provide a safe, nurturing environment for abused, neglected and homeless young people.
Discovering Your Life's Work examines various paths for discovering one’s passion in life. Emphasis is placed on life lessons learned while making the journey towards self-discovery.
The recent honors coupled with previous year's Telly Awards make a total of eleven statues for Life Notes.
Life Notes is produced by Vera Turner Enterprises, LLC in collaboration with Fairfax Public Access. The show is broadcast on seven community access stations in Northern Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. Vera Turner Enterprises, LLC is an Alexandria-based communications company founded in October 2003, which delivers inspirational programs via video, audio and print media, and through public speaking engagements. The company also provides training for individuals seeking to improve their communication skills.
